Small, stylish and intimate weddings and events in the relaxed privacy of your country house by the sea, a refreshing and unique alternative to the traditional hotel wedding.
Civil Ceremonies: Civil marriages can take place at Walton Court under Civil Licence. It is the responsibility of the wedding group to make their own arrangements with the Registrar.
Number of Guests: Up to 40 guests for a reception in the main house and old courtyard, or up to 80 guests in a luxury marquee on the front terrace or lawn overlooking Oysterhaven Bay.
Catering: Our in-house kitchens and award winning café bakery can cater for all requirements, including superb local fish. Only the freshest ingredients from our own gardens and local organic suppliers are used. An excellent wine cellar is available with many organic vintages, and a fully stocked bar.
Accommodation: We can accommodate up to 50 guests in our apartments, cottages and rooms, either on an exclusive "private facility" basis, or by individual bookings subject to availability.

Private venue – a guide to what we offer
We are the polar opposite to a hotel and offer a relaxed country house location for your event, with all the quirks and charms of a 250 year old family home by the sea. If you prefer the facilities and style of a large hotel with pre-packaged weddings and have 150 guests on your list, then we are not for you!
We can offer a range of superb menus for lunch and dinner events, champagne and canapés receptions, gourmet barbeques and spit roast, a highly acclaimed nine course tasting menu and a relaxed Champagne Brunch, ideal for the “morning after” your event. Pricing according to individual requirements.
Bar and Cellar:
We offer full bar facilities to guests including a selection of local craft beers on draught, and an extensive wine list. If you wish to supply your own wine, we charge a “Corkage” of €12 per bottle
Classical quartet, harpist, opera, jazz quartet, swing band, R&B, blues, soul and traditional Irish groups can be arranged depending on your requirements.
A spectacular professional firework display over Oysterhaven Bay can be arranged.
For a marquee reception (up to 80 guests) we provide a luxury marquee, fully lined and carpeted, with dance floor, chandeliers, heating, tables with white linen and silver cutlery, and designer chair covers etc. Prices depending on specification, and ideal for a two day event.
Our minimum booking for weddings and events is 1 day and 1 night for the venue and old courtyard cottages, rooms and apartments, on an “exclusive private venue” basis. This means that the venue is entirely yours for the event, affording a unique relaxed privacy. The lower courtyard sleeps 24 in a combination of rooms and cottages.
The adjoining Oysterhaven Harbour courtyard of seven mews houses is available separately. (Sleeps up to 28, each five star apartment has two double bedrooms, each en-suite)
